Doodling with Marabu Alcohol Ink

We all need an inspirational quote from time to time! Combining a selection of beautiful Alcohol Inks from Marabu, you can create your very own stunning piece of Art. Completely customisable to your own preferences and ideas.

1. Cover the work surface, your clothing, and put on disposable gloves. Wear a protective mask and open the windows to increase ventilation in your workroom.

2. If you choose to use them, shake the metallic and diamond Alcohol Inks until the pigments are evenly distributed (mixing ball contained).

3. How to open the Alcohol Ink bottle: pull off the cap and insert a pin into the top of the bottle tip. If the bottle has already been opened: place a gloved finger over the open bottle tip and shake well.

4. Apply Alcohol Ink to the surface, you can use dotting motions, combine multiple colours and experiment with lots of different methods. Allow the ink to dry completely before moving onto the next step.

5. Next, use the Permanent Marker to add details or draw on lettering, flowers, lines etc. Black stands out the best on the bright, vibrant colours of the ink.

    

   For your safety: Alcohol Ink must not come into contact with food, i.e. do not use it to paint crockery or similar. Keep away from open flames (e.g. candles) as Alcohol Ink is highly flammable.

    

   Top Tip: Dark Permanent Marker colours are particularly ideal for drawing over Alcohol Ink backgrounds.
